Today’s the day. I’m very pleased to introduce Cresta Velia’s fourth release: 2014 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from Eagle Summit Vineyard. This lithe and energetic vintage drinks like a true mountain wine… smart and sophisticated, with a rustic wild side.

Juicy blackberry, plum, and cherry meet savory black fruit compote, peppermint, and toasty spice.  Fruit, acidity, and tannin are all nicely integrated and promise a long, delicious future. At the same time, there’s no need to wait—it’s opening up beautifully now with just a little time in the glass.  I’m really proud of this release, and think it’s one you can enjoy now or cellar for decades.
